Visit of the Ministry of Ecology of Austria

On December 11, 2012 a delegation of the Ministry of Environment of Austria visited an object Au Pont Rouge. Foreign visitors arrived in Saint Petersburg on the II session of the joint working group for technologies transfer within the frames of the Protocol between the Government of Saint Petersburg and the Austrian Ministry of Ecology signed in June 2011.

K. Holzer, General Director of the Department of Material Flows Management and Protection of Urban Environment of the Austrian Ministry of Ecology, expressed the readiness of Austrian specialists in the field of natural resource management to share the accumulated experience on issues of city area reclamation, waste management, waste utilization and use as a power resource.

The Construction Committee of St. Petersburg introduced foreign experts with a complex Au Pont Rouge as the significant object of the city. During its construction innovative energy efficient efficiency technologies were used.

Before his visit Director of Construction Department of BTK development Irina Kirshina presented the project at a meeting in the Smolny. She described innovations applied in the object construction, which ensured the maintenance of appropriate environment and would provide not only optimal waste management, but also create favorable conditions for the clients and their visitors.
